Children’s Day
Did you know there’s a holiday just for kids?
That’s what Children’s Day is all about! In Mexico, we celebrate it every April 30th, but internationally it is celebrated on November 20th. Children’s Day is a special day when we remember that children need to be protected, respected, and loved.
Children have rights just like adults! We have the right to go to school and learn new things, the right to be part of a loving family, and the right to feel safe and happy. We also have the right to be treated equally, no matter how we look or where we come from.
At my school, we celebrate Children’s Day with a party, and my teachers remind us of our rights. They listen to our voices, dreams, and big ideas. Feeling supported helps us grow strong and happy, so we can become kind adults who make the world a better place.
