Children’s Day By Juan Pablo Moises Castelan

Children’s Day is a special day to celebrate and honor children.
It is a time to remind every child that they have rights—like the right to be happy, to feel safe, and to go to school. This day is important because it shows how much people care about and love kids!

One fun activity to do is a talent show, where kids can sing, dance, or share something they love or know how to do really well. Another great idea is to make a “Children’s Rights” poster, where each student draws or writes about a right that is important to them. At our school, we celebrate Children’s Day with games, music, and a special sharing time.

One of my favorite experiences was when I was in second grade. When I arrived at school that morning, we had a kind of party where we danced and had lots of fun. Later, in the classroom, we played several games, and then we went out to the field for water games. I remember there was a slide, inflatables, and even a game where we had to score goals!

Children’s Day is also important because it reminds everyone that children matter.
It helps promote our rights and well-being. Everyone—teachers, parents, and the community—can make a difference by listening to children, respecting them, and making sure they feel safe and loved.
